Responsible Gambling

Responsible & Safer Gambling

If you feel that gambling is becoming a problem, or you are concerned about your habits, we encourage you to read this page which includes tips on responsible and safer gambling, tools we offer to help you remain in control, and a number of organisations that provide free, confidential support and guidance to help you manage problem gambling and take control of your situation.

Responsible gambling is about staying in control. It means being aware of the risks, making informed decisions, and ensuring that gambling remains a form of entertainment rather than a source of stress or financial strain.

Planning ahead is essential. Responsible gamblers decide how often they will play, how much they can afford to gamble, and make sure to stick to these limits. Sometimes, the most responsible and beneficial choice is to refrain from gambling altogether.

Signs of Responsible Gambling

People who gamble responsibly:

  • Recognise that gambling outcomes are unpredictable, and losses are a normal part of the game;

  • Acknowledge that winning in the long run is very unlikely;

  • Play for enjoyment, not as a way to make money or avoid life’s problems;

  • Use only funds set aside for leisure and entertainment, never money needed for essentials such as food, bills, mortgage, rent, etc.;

  • Avoid chasing losses or trying to recover money they have lost;

  • Make sure gambling does not harm their relationships with friends or family; and

  • Never borrow money to gamble.

Staying in Control

Understanding Your Limits

We want gambling to remain an enjoyable experience for everyone – not an activity that brings about financial pressure or stress.

Responsible gambling is about planning ahead and keeping your habits in check. That is why you can set deposit limits with us at any time, helping you manage how often you play and how much you spend. You can also request statements of your transaction history and net deposits to stay fully aware of your activity.

Gambling should be a form of entertainment, not a problem. By keeping a few simple strategies in mind and using the tools available, you can enjoy our services and gamble responsibly, making sure it stays a safe experience.

Tips for Staying in Control

  • Keep gambling fun – see it as entertainment, not a way to make money.

  • Only use money you can afford to lose and consider setting deposit limits to stay in control.

  • Track your spending and how much time you are gambling to stay aware of your habits.

  • Take breaks regularly to maintain perspective and avoid getting carried away.

  • Mix gambling with other hobbies or activities to keep a balanced lifestyle.

  • Avoid playing when you are upset, stressed, or under the influence of alcohol.

  • Do not try to win back losses – chasing money often leads to more problems.

  • Request statements to see your deposits and activity clearly.

  • Use the tools and advice available to help you stay in control.

Time Out & Self-Exclusion

What These Tools Do

If you feel you need a break from gambling, whether short-term or for a longer period, you can use our Time Out or Self-Exclusion Schemes. These tools block you from using your account for a set duration, giving you space and control when you need it most.

  • Time Out: This is designed for shorter breaks. You can choose to pause your account for 24 hours, one week, one month, or up to six weeks.

  • Self-Exclusion: If you feel you need a longer break from gambling, you can choose to self-exclude for a minimum of six months, with options to extend this to one year or anywhere from two to up to five years.

Once a Time Out or Self-Exclusion has been applied to your account, it cannot be reversed or removed.
Please contact us and we will ensure your request is applied. You can extend the Time Out and Self-Exclusion at any time by contacting us.

What Happens if You Enter into a Time Out or Self-Exclude

Once a Time Out or Self-Exclusion is applied to your account, a number of important safeguards come into effect to help protect you:

  • We will immediately prevent you from placing bets;

  • Your account will be closed and any remaining funds returned to you;

  • You will be removed from our marketing database within two days; and

  • You will be provided with details of counselling and support services.

We will also take steps to help prevent you from opening any new accounts with us. We strongly encourage you not to attempt to register again. If we discover a duplicate account, such as one opened with altered or falsified details, any bets placed will be void, and deposited funds will be forfeited and transferred to a registered gambling charity.

If you Self-Exclude, then at the end of this period, you will remain self-excluded for a minimum of seven years unless you actively take positive steps to gamble again. If you choose to resume gambling, a one-day cooling-off period must elapse before you are allowed to place bets.

Deposit Limits

How They Work

Deposit limits help you manage your gambling by allowing you to set a cap on the amount you can deposit into your Kevin Myles account over a chosen period.

You can set limits on a daily (00:00 to 23:59 UK time), weekly (Monday 00:00 to the Sunday 23:59 UK time), or monthly (1st of the month 00:00 to the end of the month 23:59 UK time) basis.

You can set a deposit limit at any time – just contact us.

Staying in Control

  • Adjusting Limits: You can update your deposit limit at any time. Reductions take effect immediately. If you increase your limit, the change will take effect 24 hours after your request.

  • Net vs Gross Limits: By default, deposit limits are calculated on a net basis, meaning both deposits and withdrawals are taken into account over the set period. For example, if your limit is £250, you deposit £250, and then withdraw £50, you can deposit another £50 during that period.

If you prefer a gross limit (ignoring withdrawals), you can let us know when setting your limit. Deposit limits are a simple but effective way to stay in control of your gambling and ensure it remains fun and responsible.
